I took this photo of my daughter and her best friend the laughter and joy of the moment really spoke to me when I printed it off.

8×10 glass picture frames – I almost said come in many great styles and sizes ! Whoopsie they wouldn’t be called 8×10 frames if they were a different size.

Anyway 8×10 frames do come in a wide variety of styles and materials and can be used to great effect in your home or make a stylish gift to give on a variety of occasions.

Wooden Picture Frames: Stiff As A Board

No silly I’m not saying that collage picture frames are wooden, I am describing a particular type of wood photo frame but you knew that right ?

Wooden picture frames will add a distinctive element to any plain boring wall in your home or office.

Filling Wooden Picture Frames
Now what occasion can I use to fill all those openings in my frame?

To fill the frame is easy, just gather your favorite photographs and I’ll give you a couple of examples and ideas.

Wedding – Get all your wedding pictures out including ~~stealing~~ borrowing some from all the single frames (affectionately known as the dust gatherers in my house.) Choose the ones you love the most and use those. You spent a small fortune on a wedding photographer why not display those beautiful shots instead of hiding them away?
Friends – Think of all those best mates and all those special moments you have shared and use the photos of them in all their goofy glorious goodness. Then, get them up on the wall in your collage picture frame. I guarantee when visitors arrive at your home it will be the first thing they gravitate towards (well after they’ve grabbed a beer from the fridge that is.) It will make a great conversation starter, reminiscing over past times and moments you have shared. Warning Tip : Make sure you include all your friends, you don’t want to forget someone and have them wondering why they are not up there on the wall of fame (could be nasty!)
Baby – In your babies bedroom display all your precious moments with your newborn up on the nursery wall. Then, when you are spending hours cleaning toys from the floor in future years (trust me this will happen) you will be able to gaze up lovingly at those memories of them when they were just a little tiny tot.

Whatever you decide to display on the walls of your home or office is of course up to you, just stop dilly dallying and get them up there proudly displayed for everyone to enjoy.

Photoshop: Warmth A Photo Composite Template

A simple template using a blurred out photograph as the background for a collage of three photos.

I used different parts of the same photograph but this technique could just as easily be used for adding three different photographs to the frames.

Electronic picture frames are fast becoming a very popular item to have in your home, they come in a variety of sizes, materials and styles and make it easy to view your photographs while listening to music, and watching home movies or slideshows that your have created.

We all have many photographs of friends and family vacations we have taken or fantastic parties that we have enjoyed so why not consider getting them out of those dusty old albums or try freeing up your computer hard drive a little by having them proudly displayed in digital photo frames?

Digital collage picture frames have several openings one for your digital photos and ones where you can add other still photographs around the frame, this way when you have your digital photo frame turned off you are not left just staring at a blank black screen.

Collage picture frames are a great way for you to decorate your home in a very personal manner. Collage frames allow you to group together your photographs in a variety of creative ways all within one frame.

Picture collages allow you to display your photographs in an artistic way around a particular theme instead of having hundreds of different photos in individual frames dotted around your home.

Imagine a hundred pictures of your baby in that precious first year, but not the space to display them or the fact that they are hidden away in that beautiful baby album. Yes the album may be beautiful but how many times do you get to look at it? That’s right not too many, the first year with a new baby is quite busy! Why not pick say, twelve photographs (one picture for each month of your babies first year) and display them on the wall in your babies room. With a collage picture frame of your baby you will have created a beautiful memento of their first year and remember the beauty of a collage frame is that you can swap out the photographs at any time you want changing for the 2nd year, 3rd year and so on.

It doesn’t just have to be a babies room you could create a collage around any special occasion, a wedding, an anniversary, a special birthday or vacation maybe you just want to change the photographs in your collage as the seasons change or as you change the decorations within your room. Whose to say you can just put photographs into your frames, a school collage of the photographs from each year in elementary school could have pieces of your child’s artwork in a couple of the frames or why not print out a favorite quote in a swirly font and add that to the mix.
